About Hypnosis

Article6,152

Hypnosis is a state of focused attention where inner sensations and imagery become clearer and the usual mental noise gets quieter.

In that state, it’s easier to notice negative automatic reactions (“subconscious programs”) and shift them toward more useful responses.

Hypnosis itself does not do the healing. It is used as a way to access automatic subconscious patterns that drive your reactions. We use hypnosis to find the source of the problem and work with it directly.

During a session you remain conscious and can stop at any moment: it is a collaborative process, not “mind control” or “suggestion.”

Who hypnosis is for

Most of my clients are strong, intelligent, competent people who are successful in many areas of life. They have already done a lot of work to address their issue, studied a lot, and tried different methods and approaches.

They "understand everything", but are still unable to change the situation on their own. Their problem is not lack of understanding or information. They are not looking for insights or long-term support.

They are fed up, ready to change, and looking for a way to do it quickly.

Conditions I work with

Hypnosis is especially helpful for working with symptoms that appear unreasonable or exaggerated, and which are not easily controlled no matter how much you understand. I have successfully worked with a wide range of conditions, including:

  • All kinds of fears, phobias, and anxieties.
  • Mood swings, anger, and difficulty controlling impulsive reactions.
  • Issues related to low self - esteem, guilt, shame, and lack of confidence.
  • Obsessive states and addictions (smoking, alcohol, binge eating, gambling, etc.).
  • Stress reactions and motivation difficulties.
  • Problems in relationships: partners, children, family, patterns of abuse or violence, habitual “wrong choices”, etc.
  • Allergies and sensitivities to environmental factors.
  • Searching for meaning and purpose.
  • Sexual health: low desire, inability to reach orgasm, consequences of sexual abuse or abortions, fertility challenges, preparation for childbirth, struggling with one's sexual identity, and related concerns.
  • Consequences of growing up in a dysfunctional family, society, or strong patriarchal culture.
  • Loss, grief, abrupt life changes, childhood and adult trauma, abuse, and similar experiences.
  • Financial “ceiling” and all kinds of destructive patterns and beliefs about money.

In addition, many physical conditions (pain, headaches, digestive problems, concentration issues, insomnia, hormonal imbalances, skin problems, weight issues, and many other physical illnesses) that people typically bring to family doctors, have a strong emotional or psychosomatic component. Hypnosis can have a noticeable beneficial effect on the symptoms of these conditions.

What results to expect

The expected result is not just “new understanding,” but a concrete shift in bodily and emotional reactions in familiar trigger situations. In the case of physical conditions or binary behaviors (like addictions or phobias), we expect to see a complete cessation of the behavior or symptom, or at least a significant reduction.

There is no need for constant control or monitoring because the new reactions become natural and automatic. This change in deep reactions (rather than behavioral control) is why the effects of hypnosis can be so powerful and quick, compared to other methods.
